Partners & Supporters

Join us and make a difference to the lives of hundreds of people each year.

Every year, Ruah Legal Services steps in to ensure vulnerable people, especially those with mental illness, get the legal help they need and the justice they deserve. As a not-for-profit organisation our work would not be possible without the support of our partners and donors.

Our Major Funders

We support thousands of people every year – ensuring vulnerable people, and particularly people experiencing mental illness or impacted by the trauma of family violence, receive high-quality advice, advocacy and legal representation.

Department of Justice

We are primarily funded through the National Legal Assistance Partnership (NLAP). This is an agreement between the Commonwealth, States and Territories, which sets out the arrangements of delivery of Commonwealth funded legal assistance services.

Mental Health Commission

We receive annual grants from the Mental Health Commission Western Australia to advise clients on matters under the Mental Health Act or to represent them at Mental Health Tribunal hearings.

Lotterywest

Lotterywest WA has been a significant supporter of our services.

Pro Bono Support

Barristers from WA Bar and practitioners from leading private law firms generously make their skills and knowledge available to our clients, without charge, as part of their community contribution. Our thanks to:

Industry Support

We receive support from numerous individuals and agencies who help us deliver an effective, professional and appropriate mental health legal service.

Donors

As a not-for-profit community legal service, we rely on donations from generous organisations and individuals and we would like to thank all those who generously support us.

Your support makes it possible for us to assist hundreds of West Australians who is need of support, and legal advice or representation each year. We are a registered charity so all contributions over $2.00 are tax deductible in Australia.
