Law Reform & Policy

We advocate for law and policy reform in WA’s legal system.

Ruah Legal Services is a leading voice for social change and a powerful advocate for human and legal rights.

We make sure disadvantaged and vulnerable people can come to us for professional information and advice and we defend their right to be involved in decisions about their medical treatment and care.

As experts in mental health law and care and protection orders, we use our knowledge and skills to challenge unfair and unjust laws and ensure the views of vulnerable and disadvantaged people are heard by legislators and policymakers.

We provide expert advice to government, submissions on legal and policy reform, and work in collaboration with other like-minded organisations.
